Skytel Networks has been acquired by Viatel Group
The owner of Skytel Networks has sold the company to Viatel Group.
Founded in 2006, Skytel Networks provides connectivity solutions to both businesses and consumers. Skytel’s footprint is strongest in Leinster and the business is headquartered in Wexford, both in Ireland.
Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, Viatel is a leading cloud and communications service provider, servicing consumers via its Digiweb platform. Viatel serves respected Irish companies, multinational corporations and public sector bodies. Specifically, Viatel’s deep strength is servicing the healthcare, financial services and education sectors. The group employs over 185 people across Ireland with locations in Dublin, Dundalk, Cork, Limerick and Wexford. Viatel operates a national and international network alongside its own data center facility located at their Blanchardstown site.
