Kenneth Karpay
Managing Director
Ken is a managing director at Oaklins DeSilva+Phillips in New York and has a broad range of experience in advising clients on transactions in healthcare communications, marketing and media. Recent transactions include the US$100+ million purchase of healthcare assets from Informa by MJH Life Sciences, the purchase of global events operator Versalinx by private equity firm Boathouse Capital and the acquisition of medical communications firm Symbiotix by Havas. He is also an advisor to privately-held and family-owned businesses as a consultant and board member.
Before joining Oaklins DeSilva+Phillips, Ken worked with numerous healthcare media and health organizations, including medical centers, practice groups and communications agencies, to launch and expand business initiatives. In 2003, Ken was senior vice president and publisher of Physicians Practice, a US practice management media company acquired by United Business Media (UBM) in 2007. Previously, he was co-founder and president of LGI, which was acquired by StateNet (acquired LexisNexis). Ken has a JD from the University of Florida and a BA from Brown University.
