Bauer Performance Sports Ltd. has acquired Inaria International Inc.
Bauer Performance Sports Ltd. (Bauer) has acquired 100% of Inaria International Inc. for an undisclosed consideration.
Bauer, a publicly traded company with significant ownership from private equity firm Kohlberg & Co., manufactures and markets athletic equipment under the Bauer Hockey, Maverik Lacrosse, Cascade Helmets and Mission Roller Hockey brands.
This acquisition enables Bauer to provide athletes with “head-to-toe” equipment and apparel solutions through its specialty retailer partners while expanding into the soccer league and association sales channel under the established Inaria brand.
Inaria International, based in Toronto, Canada, designs and manufactures a full line of customizable, pro-style team uniforms and athletic apparel.
One of Oaklins' teams in the USA helped Bauer to refine its apparel expansion strategy and explore acquisition opportunities in the space that could leverage its premium consumer brand.
