Tom is head of financial services and fintech deal advisory at Oaklins S&W, one of Oaklins’ member firms in the UK. He works with public and private companies and private equity funds across the spectrum of financial services, with a focus on growth and tech-enabled companies. Tom is focused on building long-term relationships and providing independent, strategic advice. He has over 20 years of experience in financial services, with extensive M&A and capital markets advisory experience, including public and private M&A, restructurings, equity raising (IPOs and rights issues) and hybrid capital issuance. Deal experience includes IK Partners’ investment in Seventeen Group, a leading UK independent insurance distribution group; the £839 million (≈US$1.1 billion) sale of Investec Wealth to Rathbones Group; and the merger of One Savings Bank and Charter Court Financial Services.

Tom joined Oaklins S&W from Investec, where he was head of financial services M&A. Previously, he was a partner at KPMG and a FIG M&A banker at Barclays and Rothschild. He qualified as a chartered accountant with PwC in 2003.
