Mikael is an M&A advisor at Oaklins Canada with extensive experience leading buy-side and sell-side mandates across the rail, transport and manufacturing sectors. He has advised management teams and shareholders on complex transactions, operational due diligence and value-creation strategies. Recent mandates include the sell-side of CAD Railway Industries in connection with a minority investment by Sojitz Corporation, followed by Sojitz’s acquisition of the remaining shares; the acquisition of ProSphere, a specialized rail engineering firm; operational and financial due diligence for Caltrax, a freight car maintenance company in Calgary; and the divestitures of Importfab, a Montreal-based pharmaceutical manufacturer, and Normand Ltée, a Quebec-based manufacturer of agricultural and snow removal equipment.

Prior to joining Oaklins, Mikael held senior executive roles in the rail industry, leading supply chain, legal and IT functions, and building the IT function for CAD Rail Fleet Services in Toronto.
