Yves is a senior advisor at Oaklins E. Canada. He brings over 20 years of both transactional and c-suite level experience in mergers and acquisitions. With a focus on the industrial, manufacturing and automotive components sectors, he has also worked on mandates in areas such as pharmaceuticals, logistics and distribution. Among others, he has advised Liberty Spring, a world leader in high-precision springs and metal components; the private company Uniban Canada & PH Vitres d’autos; Odom Industries, which specializes in heavy and complex process equipment; Durabox Paper, a leading corrugated food packaging company in Canada; and Citox Lab, which offers a comprehensive range of pre-clinical services for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, cosmetics, medical device and food companies worldwide.
Yves began his career in mergers & acquisitions with Citibank in New York and Paris, followed by Crédit Lyonnais Securities in London, UK. He also served as vice president of Europe M&A at Quebecor World (NYSE: IQW) before joining Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) as the CFO for Europe for Goldman Sachs’ real estate private equity funds. In 2001, he moved on to become the CEO of growth companies, including Alliance ArtQuest (TSX: AQ.B), the founder and CEO of a venture-backed clean tech company and CEO of a new subsidiary of Quebecor Media. Yves has a BCL and LLB from McGill University and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario.
