The founders of Simtel Team have sold a 5% stake in the company to Dedeman (Paval Holding).

Simtel Team is an eco-engineering company founded in 2010 by three graduates of the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications – Iulian Nedea, Sergiu Bazarciuc and Radu Vilău. The company operates in three business areas: renewable energy, telecommunications and automation, delivering projects both in Romania and abroad for each business line. The main services provided by Simtel are turnkey construction and maintenance for photovoltaic parks, turnkey services for the construction of mobile communications networks for telecommunications operators, and automation of industrial processes through automated production lines, electric drives and industrial robots.

Paval Holding is the investment vehicle controlled by Dragos and Adrian Paval, the founders of the leading Romanian DIY retailer Dedeman.

Oaklins’ team in Romania acted as the sole advisor to Simtel Team’s shareholders, assisting in the preparation of the sale process as well as structuring, pricing and closing.

Sibelco has received strategic advisory related to the exit of a minority shareholder

SCR Sibelco has received strategic advisory related to the exit of a minority shareholder. Different options were considered. On 8 December 2023, Sibelco announced its intention to launch a share buyback program, via a tender offer, to acquire up to 18.94% of outstanding shares for a price of €6,850 per share and a total deal consideration of €609 million. The program offered liquidity optionality to the exiting shareholder, as well as other minority shareholders looking forward to crystallizing some value. Sibelco is delighted to pursue with its ambitious mid-term growth plan thanks to a refocused shareholder register and the support of the founding families.
