Stourbridge Water Direct Limited has been acquired by FGS Agri Limited

Keith and Nicola Silcock, founders of Stourbridge Water Direct Limited (Water Direct), have sold the company to FGS Agri Limited for an undisclosed consideration.

Water Direct has been the preferred provider of alternative drinking water supplies and emergency water to many of the United Kingdom’s water utilities and commercial clients for over a decade. The company has become the country’s leading bulk water supplier to many construction companies and festival organizers.

FGS Agri Limited is a UK-based agricultural contractor offering farm management, agricultural civils, utility contracting and organics recycling. Commenting on the acquistion, Trevor Heathcote, Chairman of FGS Agri said: “We are delighted with the acquisition of Water Direct which strengthens FGS Agri’s existing water operation within the South East and expands our geographical coverage with depots in Essex, Surrey and Derbyshire. We look forward to working with Water Direct customers and developing the business in years to come.”

Keith Silcock said: “We are excited by the opportunities this creates to continue the growth and development of the focused Water Direct services within a much larger and diverse organization. The fit with FGS Agri is highly complementary and will provide additional benefits to our client base.”

Oaklins Cavendish, based in the UK, advised the seller in this transaction.
