Exxel Outdoors, LLC (Exxel) has acquired American Recreation Products (ARP) from Kellwood Company, LLC. Financial details have not been disclosed.
Headquartered in Los Angeles, California, Exxel manufactures and markets family-style sleeping bags, tents, children’s camp sets and apparel, among other equipment. Their product portfolio includes four company brands (Suisse Sport, X20, American Trails, Master Sportsman), licensed (Disney, Marvel, DC Comics, Hello Kitty, Realtree) and private label products. Exxel’s plant in Haleyville, Alabama, is the leading manufacturer of US-made sleeping bags.
ARP, a division of the Kellwood Company, LLC, is headquartered in Boulder, Colorado. ARP is home to a collection of the most well-known and innovative outdoor industry brands, offering a wide variety of technical and lifestyle equipment, apparel, and accessories to compliment any outdoor pursuit.
