Centaur Engineering Limited has been acquired by Mark Allen Group

Centaur Media plc, the international market intelligence and specialist consultancy, has sold Centaur Engineering Limited to Mark Allen Group.

Centaur Engineering, a portfolio company of Centaur Media, consists of Subcon – the UK’s only subcontract manufacturing supply chain event, which has been running for over 40 years; The Engineer – the longest established engineering media brand in the UK, in circulation for 160 years; The Engineering Expo – a three-day event for UK engineering professionals to source the latest advanced engineering technology; and The Advanced Manufacturing Show (AMS) – a three-day event for board level decision-makers, production and quality engineers to interact with the latest technology.

The Mark Allen Group is a media company which delivers high-quality content through market-leading journals, magazines, books, events, exhibitions and websites. The firm's success comes from a focus on editorial excellence, in-depth knowledge of its market and customers’ needs, commitment to educate, inspire and engage audiences, and its ability to think differently to provide innovative client-focused solutions.

Centaur Media is a London-based business information, events and marketing provider to professional and commercial markets.

Oaklins Cavendish, based in the UK, advised Centaur Media plc, on the disposal of four of its non-core businesses, as part of the divestment process that began after Centaur Media concluded a strategic review in October 2018 and decided to focus on its leading brands to improve operational execution.
