Valmiermuižas Alus has been acquired by Cēsu Alus AS through the purchase of 100% of its shares. The transaction enabled the founder’s exit and strengthened the company’s platform for continued growth within a consolidating Baltic beverage market.
Valmiermuižas Alus is the largest local craft brewery in Latvia and one of the country’s most well-known and popular beer brands. The company offers a diverse portfolio of beers catering to a wide range of tastes, with a strong focus on using natural ingredients and maintaining strict quality standards. In addition to its core beer offerings, Valmiermuižas Alus has expanded into non-alcoholic beverages and specialty brews, appealing to a broad customer base. The brewery also operates a hospitality business, including a visitor center and restaurant, which further enhances brand visibility and customer engagement. Prior to the transaction, Valmiermuižas Ieguldījumu Fonds owned 100% of the shares in Valmiermuižas Alus.
Cēsu Alus is one of Latvia’s leading beverage producers, best known for brewing beer and producing a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Its main business areas include beer brewing, soft drinks and bottled water production, as well as other ready-to-drink beverages distributed across Latvia and export markets. The company is owned by the Finnish beverage group Olvi.
