Linda Sullivan

Linda is a partner at Oaklins Cavendish, one of Oaklins’ member firms in the UK. She also leads its media, entertainment, marcomms and digital technology team. With over 25 years’ experience in international M&A and corporate development, she has advised a wide range of international clients in relation to licensing, mergers and acquisitions, disposals, strategy and finance. Linda combines expertise in the acquisition and management of intellectual property rights with a specialist knowledge of the media and technology sectors and private equity funding and investment in the UK and internationally. Recent transactions that reflect Linda’s specialized experience include the sale of data business PCI Group to Verisk Analytics; the sale of brand insight and strategy business Sparkler to PA Consulting Group; the sale of three events businesses and a financial services media business for Centaur Media plc to buyers from the USA, Germany and the UK; the sale of specialist marcomms business Hills Balfour to US group MMGY Global; and the sale of the well-known post-production group, The Farm, to LA-based Picture Head Group.

Linda qualified as a solicitor and practiced at leading City of London law firm Macfarlanes until 1985. Subsequently, she became strategic advisor to the founders of GEAC Computer Corporation and was appointed the first female director of this Toronto Stock Exchange quoted multinational company. Prior to joining Oaklins Cavendish, Linda was a director at Mediafund Limited, a UK company specializing in mergers and acquisitions in the media sector, where she also dealt with a number of financing assignments, including the MBI of the Mining Journal Group and its subsequent sale.
