Steve Hunter

Managing Director

Steve is a managing director at TM Capital, one of Oaklins’ US member firms, where he leads the firm’s private equity coverage team. In this role, Steve is responsible for coordinating TM Capital’s interaction with the private equity community, including helping the firm to source transactions from and market transactions to private equity firms. In addition to his sponsor coverage responsibilities, Steve also executes transactions for clients in in a broad range of industries, including industrial, business services and healthcare. Transactions he has advised on include the sale of Ultimed Ltd., a portfolio company of LDI Ltd., to Levine Leichtman Capital Partners; the sale of Tidewater Equipment, a portfolio company of Ironwood Management Partners, to Tecum Capital; and the sale of Halco Lighting Technologies, a portfolio company of Lineage Capital, to Summer Street Capital Partners.

Prior to joining TM Capital, Steve was a managing director with Greene Holcomb Fisher, which was acquired by BMO Capital Markets. While at GHF, Steve opened the Atlanta office and built and led the firm’s private equity coverage group. During his tenure at GHF, Steve was involved in more than 40 transactions involving private equity firms. In addition, he has worked at Morgan Keegan & Co., Robertson Stephens and The Robinson-Humphrey Company. Steve received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics (magna cum laude with honors in economics) from Bucknell University.
