Rotring Engineering AG has been acquired by Bilfinger Berger Power Services
The Bilfinger Berger Group has acquired all shares in Rotring Engineering AG, a globally active specialist in fuel gas systems for oil and gas fired power plant turbines, for an undisclosed consideration.
As a supplier to the power plant industry, Rotring occupies a leading position in its market segment. Its product range includes the design, delivery and installation of complete systems for the processing of liquid and gaseous fuels. The COO will continue to manage the company.
The core business of the Bilfinger Berger Power Services Group is boiler technology, piping technology, power and environmental engineering, and mechanical and apparatus engineering.
Oaklins' team in Germany advised the owners of Rotring Engineering, among them the management, on the sale of their shares. In an international tendering procedure, Bilfinger Berger turned out to be the best buyer in terms of transaction conditions and strategic fit.
