The private shareholders of Playscripts Inc. have sold the company to Stageworks Media. Financial terms of this transaction have not been disclosed.
Playscripts Inc. is a leading independent publisher and marketer of new plays and musicals. Playscripts brings new plays and musicals to professional, school, community and college theaters.
Stageworks Media is a NYC-based production company that develops new work for the stage, with a particular focus on the direct-to-licensing marketplace. The company also actively manages its intellectual property portfolio for full exploitation across all media, including film, television, digital and publishing. Stageworks Media properties include The Stageworks Collection of High School Musicals, Speakeasy Dollhouse immersive play series, and Live From Gramercy Park Cabaret series.
