The shareholders of IT-Seal GmbH have sold the company to Hornetsecurity GmbH.
IT-Seal is active in the cybersecurity segment and offers security awareness training software. The company specializes in establishing a sustainable security culture by using innovative technologies to train employees at businesses and organizations worldwide. IT-Seal uses a scientific, patented security awareness indicator (Employee Security Index - ESI®) to make security awareness measurable and comparable.
Hornetsecurity is a provider of cloud-based security services offering solutions in the fields of email security and data storage worldwide. Additionally, the company offers high level protection for customers’ IT infrastructures. Hornetsecurity is backed by financial investors and has been following a buy-and-build strategy by acquiring Spamina, the Spanish market leader for cloud email security solutions, Everycloud, the British market leader for cloud email security solutions, Altaro, the global provider of backup solutions and Zerospam, the Canadian email security leader.
