move UP has been acquired by Acture B.V.

move UP Gesellschaft für Gesundheitsmanagement mbH, an innovative provider of holistic corporate health management solutions, has been acquired by Acture B.V., a leader in welfare management. This acquisition represents a major step in Acture’s plans to expand into the German corporate health management sector.

Established in 2016 by Jan-Frederik Kolthoff, move UP is a leading German corporate health management company. With branches in Hamburg, Berlin and Munich, the company specializes in crafting comprehensive solutions to promote employee health within businesses. Currently employing 75 people across the three locations, move UP designs and implements holistic and creative health solutions tailored to over 250 clients throughout Europe. The company’s core focus is on making workplace health accessible to everyone. Its approach involves creating engaging health offerings that resonate with diverse target audiences, fostering fun and emotional connections. Additionally, move UP develops communication strategies for these health solutions to reach every employee, whether online, offline or in a hybrid setting. The result is a precisely tailored initiative that not only brings enjoyment but also captivates and inspires employees.

For 15 years, Acture has been a leader in the private execution of social security for Dutch employers. With 120,000 sickness reports per year for 6,200 employers, Acture is responsible for executing over US$27 billion in wages, approximately 10% of the total wage bill in the Netherlands. Through the effective implementation of sickness benefit laws and WGA, Acture provides cost control for sickness and disability. Believing that a job is the best source of income, Acture activates its optimal employee management method, with focuses on the employee. With certified occupational health services, such as keesz, ArdoSZ and VerzuimWeg, Acture has the expertise to bring out the best in organizations and people by making employees happy at their work. Recognizing the potential for accelerated growth, Acture proactively engages in mergers and acquisitions to expand its reach and influence in key segments.

Oaklins’ team in Germany served as the exclusive sell-side M&A advisor to move UP. The team in the Netherlands introduced the buyer and supported the transaction.
