Quimisa has been acquired by Brenntag
The private shareholders of Quimisa SA have sold the company to Brenntag.
Quimisa, founded in 1959 and headquartered in Brusque, Brazil, has a strong market position in providing industrial and specialty chemicals to regional and international clients in Southern Brazil. Its product portfolio includes industrial chemicals, such as caustic soda and hydrogen peroxide as well as a wide range of specialty chemicals, such as textile auxiliaries, dyes and polymers. Products are supplied to the textile, household products, food and beverage and paper industries with a strong logistics and customer service model. One of the largest 500 companies in the southern region of Brazil, the company has four branches located in strategic regions and a transportation subsidiary called Quimilog to ensure agile and efficient logistics.
Headquartered in Essen, Germany, and founded in 1912, Brenntag is the global leader in chemical and ingredients distribution. The company operates a global network with more than 580 locations in 76 countries and has over 16,600 employees.
