Stephen Perry

Stephen is the co-founder and Managing Director of Janes Capital Partners, Oaklins' Aerospace & Defense specialist in Irvine. He also leads Oaklins' Aerospace & Defense Group. Starting his career on Wall Street, Stephen has over 25 years of corporate finance and investment banking experience, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, corporate divestitures, management buy-outs, and debt and equity financing. He has completed over 50 aerospace & defense M&A transactions valued at over US$4 billion. Notable transactions include advising Frontier Systems in connection with its sale to the Boeing Company, as well as industry legend Burt Rutan in connection with the sale of Scaled Composites to Northrop Grumman. More recently, he advised Pacific Precision Products on its sale to industry leader Zodiac Aerospace. Stephen has extensive relationships with A&D companies both in the US and overseas, and has been involved in a number of cross-border transactions.

Prior to founding Janes Capital Partners, Stephen held various roles of increasing responsibility at Credit-Suisse First Boston, Kayne Anderson and Irving Trust Company. He has an MBA in Finance from the UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Accounting from Georgetown University. Stephen regularly attends and speaks at various A&D industry conferences and trade shows.
