Greenore Port has been acquired by Burke Shipping Group
One51 plc and Dublin Port Company have sold their joint equal shareholding of the Greenore Port to Burke Shipping Group for an undisclosed consideration.
Greenore Port is located at the entrance to the Carlingford peninsula in Co. Louth Ireland, the port offers access to the North East of Ireland and is located 20km from the M1 motorway linking Dublin and Belfast. Greenore is the third deepest port on the East Coast of Ireland, it has 250 meters of quay wall and has the capacity to handle 18,000 k/tonne vessels of bulk product. Historically the principal goods handled in the port included: animal feed, steel, fertilizer and coal.
Established in 1886, Burke Shipping Group offers integrated shipping, logistics and maritime services.
One51 plc and Dublin Port Company jointly owned Greenore Port. One51 is an investment holding company with interests in environmental and plastics industries in Ireland and the UK. Dublin Port Company is the owner and operator of Dublin Port in Ireland.
Oaklins' team in Ireland was engaged by Dublin Port Company and One51 plc to sell their joint equal shareholding of the Greenore Port facility. The team's role included undertaking an extensive marketing exercise, project managing the bid process, coordinating other advisory teams and negotiating the deal on behalf of the shareholders.
