Gaiety Cinema Group has been acquired by Omniplex Cinema Group

The private shareholders of Gaiety Cinema Group (GCG) have sold the company to Omniplex Cinema Group for an undisclosed consideration.

The nine-screen Gaiety Cinema Group (GCG) multiplex brings all of the latest box office blockbusters to audiences in Wicklow. The interiors and facilities provide one of the most contemporary cinema experiences in the country. The multiplex seats 1,590 people and boasts state-of-the-art facilities such as rocker adjustable seating and the latest in dolby digital surround technology. The kid’s club café and interactive multimedia areas combined with a loop hearing system all compliment this unique cinema experience.

Omniplex Cinema Group is a diverse leisure and entertainment company primarily consisting of cinema operations and leisure orientated property investments. A typical Omniplex cinema location ranges from 4–14 screens and are located in most major cities and towns in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
