Americk Packaging Group has been acquired by SAICA Group
Ryhall Limited has sold Americk Packaging Group to SAICA Group. Financial details have not been disclosed.
Americk Packaging offers a full range of printed packaging solutions including: cartons, produce packaging, punnets, trays, flexibles, reel-fed and self-adhesive labels. The company has 690 employees has six specialist sites across the UK and Ireland. This acquisition will not affect its current operations which will continue to be managed by the existing senior management team.
SAICA was founded over 70 years ago and remains a family-owned business. The group is a market leader in Spain that produces sustainable solutions for paper and board packaging. SAICA's four divisions include recycled paper production for corrugated board, recyclable materials, production of corrugated packaging and flexible packaging. The consolidated turnover of the group, which has over 8,000 employees and presence in Spain, Italy, Portugal UK, Ireland, Turkey and Luxembourg, was over US$2.3 billion in 2015 and the company's owners were keen to add other packaging operations to their portfolio.
