Cork-based retail and wholesale Musgrave Group has acquired La Rousse Foods from Aryzta AG for an undisclosed consideration.
Musgrave Group is Ireland's largest grocery distributor, with operations in Ireland and Spain and estimated annual sales of approximately US$5 billion. The group's brands, which include SuperValu, Centra and Daybreak, are market leaders and Musgrave MarketPlace is Ireland’s leading wholesale supplier to retail, foodservice and SMEs.
La Rousse Foods specializes in the supply of fine foods to premium food establishments. With offices in Dublin and Belfast, La Rousse serves more than 1,500 customers.
Founded in 1897 and headquartered in Switzerland, Aryzta is one of the leading international specialist food companies in the world, with operations in the Americas, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The company serves large retail, convenience, and independent retailers, as well as quick service restaurants and other foodservice customers.
