Hibernia College has been acquired by Folens
The founder and shareholder of Hibernia College has sold it to Folens.
Hibernia College is an exclusively online, for-profit education provider, currently specializing in teacher training for primary and secondary schools (grades K-12). The market leader in Ireland, the business is highly scalable and has a number of new courses in development which are due to be launched later this year. These include professional healthcare (nurse) training, preschool teacher training and teacher training for the international market. Given the online nature of the service offering, it has been unaffected by the COVID-19 pandemic with continued strong enrolment.
Folens is the leading educational publisher in Ireland, dedicated to better learning. It specializes in producing high quality, engaging print and digital content that helps teachers be more effective and saves them valuable time.
Oaklins’ team in Ireland advised the shareholder on the sale of the business.
