Galway Plant and Tool Hire has been acquired by Briggs Equipment Ireland
The shareholders of Galway Plant and Tool Hire Ltd (GPT) have sold the company to Briggs Equipment Ireland Ltd.
Founded in 1969, Galway Plant and Tool Hire (GPT) is one of Ireland’s largest plant, commercial vehicle and tool hire specialists. Operating from eight sites, GPT offers a wide range of plant, equipment and vehicles for long and short-term hire to a broad base of customers, from local authorities and semi state bodies to all areas of the private sector.
Briggs Equipment Ireland is a materials handling, business solutions and engineering services provider. With sites in Dublin and Lisburn, it is the exclusive Irish distributor for the Hyster range of forklift trucks and other materials handling equipment. Briggs Equipment Ireland is a subsidiary of Briggs International in Texas, USA, which has annual sales of over US$4 billion.
