Wholefoods Wholesale Ltd. has been acquired by Total Produce PLC

The shareholders of Wholefoods Wholesale Ltd. have sold a 92% stake in the company to Total Produce PLC. Financial details have not been disclosed.

Wholefoods Wholesale is the leading distributor of high quality health products, including natural foods, vitamins and mineral supplements, to health food stores in Ireland.

Total Produce is Europe's largest fresh produce provider, with a continent-wide infrastructure of 90 strategically positioned depots operating in 13 countries. A complete fresh produce solution provider, Total Produce grows, sources, imports, packages, distributes and markets over 200 lines of fresh fruit and vegetables to the wholesale and retail trades. The acquisition gives Total Produce the opportunity to become involved in the high-growth health products sector.
