India Property Online Pvt Ltd. has been acquired by Quikr
Bertlesmann and Mayfield, two private equity firms, have sold India Property Online Pvt Ltd. to Quikr.
India Property Online is a leading full-stack player in the online real estate space in South India. India Property offers comprehensive marketing solutions serving builders, real estate agents and home owners, to sell their properties, while offering a feature rich interface for property buyers to search, identify and transact properties that match their requirements. India Property Online has pioneered several innovations such as Assisted Property, 3D Virtual Tour, Gruhapravesh. The platform has over five million registered users with over 600,000 property listings and more than 8,000 builders and agents using the platform.
Quikr is an Indian classified advertising platform. It was founded by Pranay Chulet and Jiby Thomas in 2008. Headquartered in Bangalore, Quikr has listings in over 900 cities in India in categories such as mobile phones, household goods, cars, real estate, jobs, services and education.
Oaklins' team in India acted as the exclusive sell-side advisors to India Property Online. This was a first-of-its-kind transaction in the full-stack online real estate platform space. The team closed a complex transaction structuring challenges with multiple resident and non-resident investors.
