EverSource Capital has acquired a sewage treatment plant
EverSource Capital, through its subsidiary Kathari Water Management, has acquired a sewage treatment plant from VA Tech Wabag.
Kathari Water Management is water-focused platform set up by EverSource Capital for investments across the water and wastewater segments. EverSource Capital was founded in 2018 as a joint venture between Everstone Capital and Lightsource BP to invest in India’s rapidly scaling green growth market through a unique partnership and differentiated investment approach.
The sewage treatment plant is a subsidiary of VA Tech Wabag, India’s leading water and wastewater solution provider. The plant was awarded to VA Tech Wabag under the Hybrid Annuity model (HAM).
VA Tech Wabag is India’s leading water and wastewater solutions provider. It is listed on NSE with a market cap of US$333 million.
Oaklins’ team in India acted as the exclusive buy-side advisor to EverSource Capital in this transaction.
