The private shareholders of Laboratórios Osler do Brasil Ltda. have sold the company to S. C. Johnson & Son, Inc. (S.C. Johnson) for an undisclosed consideration.

The company's unique strategy to handle insect repellents as an OTX drug resulted in a leadership position in the dramatically growing Brazilian market of insect repellents sold in pharmacies. With its pharmaceutical positioning the company has a light structure, high profitability with above market margins and high growth potential.
S. C. Johnson manufactures, markets and sells household products to customers. It offers products in the categories that include home cleaning, fresher and hygienic, air care and home fragrance, pest control, home storage, shoe care, auto care, and professional products. The company sells its products online and through groceries, drug stores, mass merchandisers, convenience stores, and mom-and-pop shops worldwide. S. C. Laboratórios Osler do Brasil was owned by a Brazilian entrepreneur (50%) and a french entity called Science Infuse (50%). Science Infuse currently sells repellents in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. In 2005, Science Infuse sold Laboratoire Osler France, producer of the Insect Ecran repellent brand, to Cooper Labs.
