Cometa S.r.l. has initiated a voluntary public tender offer for the shares of Servizi Italia S.p.A.
Cometa is a vehicle owned by Aurum S.p.A., created to facilitate the tender offer for Servizi Italia and delist the company.
Servizi Italia S.p.A. provides integrated services for the rental, washing and sterilization of textiles and surgical instruments. The company operates through three main segments: wash-hire, linen sterilization and surgical instrument sterilization. The wash-hire segment covers the rental, washing, reconditioning and logistics of textiles, mattresses and accessories, including high-visibility emergency service items and hospital wardrobe management. The linen sterilization segment focuses on the rental of sterile medical devices for operating theaters, packed in kits and made from cotton or reusable technical fabric, along with personal protection equipment. The surgical instrument sterilization segment provides the washing, packaging and sterilization of surgical instruments and accessories for operating theaters, as well as the design, installation and reorganization of sterilization centers. Founded in 1986, the company is headquartered in Castellina di Soragna, Italy.
Oaklins Italy’s parent company, Banca Akros, acted as the financial advisor and appointed broker for the collection of shares in the voluntary public tender offer for 19% of Servizi Italia’s shares by Cometa.
