Oaklins advises Nolato in its acquisition of Vermont, US-based GW Plastics

Oaklins Sweden acts as financial advisor alongside its partner team in Cleveland, Ohio, when Nolato acquires Vermont, US-based GW Plastics, a privately-owned company offering complex injection molded thermoplastic and silicone solutions to a highly demanding customer base primarily constituted of companies in the healthcare and automotive industries.

 

Founded in 1955, GW Plastics specializes in providing complex injection molded thermoplastic and silicone solutions to a highly demanding customer base primarily constituted of companies in the healthcare and automotive industries. The company, with an annual turnover of some USD 180m and with over 1,000 employees, is headquartered in Bethel, Vermont, and has a standardized global manufacturing platform with a total of seven production facilities in the US, Mexico, China, and Ireland. Around 85% of the company’s revenue stems from customers in the pharma and medical device sector, including customers such as Medtronic, Abbott, Johnson & Johnson, Boston Scientific, Guerbet, Philips Healthcare, and Covidien.

 

Nolato is a Swedish group with operations in Europe, Asia and North America. The company develops and manufactures products in polymer materials such as plastic, silicone and TPE for leading customers within the medical technology, pharmaceuticals, consumer electronics, telecom, automotive, hygiene and other selected industrial sectors. Nolato’s shares are listed on Nasdaq Stockholm in the Large Cap segment, where they are included in the industrials sector. In 2019, Nolato generated some SEK 7.9bn (approx. USD 840m) in net sales.
