Offshore Solutions B.V. has been acquired by Ampelmann
Offshore Solutions B.V., a joint venture between Cofely Netherlands and UK-based AMEC, has been acquired by Ampelmann. Financial details have not been disclosed.
Founded in 2007, Offshore Solutions is a supplier of heave compensated gangways for the offshore oil and gas market, based in the Netherlands. Its gangways are used to safely transfer personnel from a vessel to an offshore installation, mainly in the North Sea and Persian Gulf. With an extensive track record of safe personnel transfers, Offshore Solutions offers an innovative, safe and cost-effective alternative to helicopters, crew boats and jack-ups.
Ampelmann, founded in 2008, is also active in the offshore walk-to-work market and is a spin-off of the Delft University of Technology. The company has doubled its fleet every year since 2008 and currently operates over 25 systems worldwide. The takeover of Offshore Solutions follows the recent acquisition of a majority stake by IK Investment Partners in Ampelmann. Ampelmann and IK Investment Partners aim to continue to grow the Delft-based firm internationally through organic growth based on innovation and acquisitions.
