The shareholders of The Grimes Companies, Inc. (Grimes) have sold the company to People Services, Inc. Financial details have not been disclosed.

Grimes is one of the fastest-growing companies in its geographic market and is a leader in the southeast logistics industry. Service offerings include a full range of asset-based and non-asset-based 3PL logistics and supply chain management services on a regional, national and global scale. The company was founded in 1972 and is headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida. It has warehouse facilities in Jacksonville and Baltimore, Maryland.

Peoples Services is an asset-based network of companies dedicated to providing 3PL services specializing in handling commodities from chemicals and plastics to food grade (temperature-controlled storage) and consumer goods. Services include transloading bulk material from rail to bulk pneumatic tank trucks, drumming, packaging/repacking services, e-commerce fulfillment, inventory management and transportation. The company now operates 42 third party logistics warehouses in seven states: Michigan, Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and Florida, providing over 7.5 million square feet of public and contract warehouse space.
