WOOD & Company Funds SICAV has acquired the residential development project Nova Merina

WOOD & Company Funds SICAV has acquired Nova Merina from Across Properties and Occam Real Estate. The acquisition of this planned residential project in the city center of Trenčín, Slovakia, further expands the fund’s growing portfolio of development projects. Nova Merina is a brownfield revitalization project that has received strong support from the city council, as demonstrated by a zoning plan change completed in a record time of 11 months.

WOOD & Company Funds SICAV was established by WOOD & Company to invest in real estate, pharmaceuticals, waste management and other sectors, with the goal of generating income and achieving long-term capital appreciation. Based in Malta, the SICAV structure is regulated by the Malta Financial Services Authority.

Nova Merina, a planned residential development located on a brownfield site of the former Merina textile factory in Trenčín, Slovakia, represents a significant residential project that will deliver over 700 apartments. The process of obtaining the necessary approvals is currently underway, with construction expected to begin in Q3 2026.

Across Properties has over 16 years of experience in the development of residential real estate projects. The firm also acts as a financial investor in collaboration with other developers. Occam Real Estate is a real estate developer based in Bratislava, with a pipeline of medium to large-scale residential and office projects in Bratislava, Košice, and Trenčín, Slovakia.

Oaklins’ team in Slovakia advised the buyer on the acquisition of the Nova Merina residential development project.
