Dominique Deschamps
Managing Director
Dominique is a managing director at Oaklins KBC Securities in Belgium, where he focuses on private and public M&A as well as ECM transactions. He leads the firm’s coverage of the construction, building materials and engineering sectors as well as aerospace and defense. He also co-leads the TMT and private equity sectors. Recent notable transactions include the US$2.8 billion demerger of the CFE Group into CFE Contracting and DEME; the fairness opinion for Recticel’s board of directors at the time of Greiner’s unsolicited public takeover bid; and the sale of Netherlands-based Agro-NRG to Belgium-based Hasco Invest. During the course of his career, Dominique has advised on more than 35 deals across countries and the product spectrum, from mergers & acquisitions to capital markets.
Prior to joining Oaklins KBC Securities in a co-leadership function, Dominique was head of M&A at Lhoist, a +US$2 billion industrial mineral company, and before that he was a VP of investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London. Dominique has an MBA from IESE Business School and is a graduate of École Polytechnique and Solvay Business School (Université Libre de Bruxelles).
