Annerie is a senior associate at Grindrod Bank, Oaklins’ member firm in South Africa. Her particular area of expertise is in the regulatory aspects of listed public company transactions involving the Johannesburg Stock Exchange and the Takeover Regulation Panel. She has experience in a wide range of industries and transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, rights issues and share placements, takeovers and schemes of arrangement as well as cross-border transactions involving companies listed on both the JSE and foreign exchanges, such as the ASX, the TSX and TSX Venture Exchange, the Nigerian Stock Exchange and AIM. Recent transaction involvement includes the take-private of diversified chemicals company Rolfes, the disposal of a company in the information technology sector (Reflex Technologies) and equity capital raises for public entities in the ICT (Jasco) and healthcare industries (Advanced Health).
Annerie joined the corporate finance team in 2014. She qualified as a chartered accountant in 2005 after completing her training with KPMG in their energy and natural resources unit. In 2007 she joined corporate finance boutique Sansara Capital, which was subsequently acquired by Macquarie First South Capital, where she spent seven years – three years in the corporate finance resources team and four years in the JSE Sponsor team. Annerie is a JSE approved executive.
