Arturo Garcia is a Director at APOYO Finanzas Corporativas a Oaklins' member firm in South America. He has broad experience in corporate finance and M&A and has worked on transactions in the retail, logistics, construction & engineering, banking, telecommunication and industrial sectors, including the sale of Skanska Peru to Confipetrol Group, the acquisition of Boticas Arcangel (Albis S.A.) by Mifarma, the second largest pharmacy chain in Peru and part of the Peruvian Quicorp group, the merger of the Colombia Telecomunicaciones, the state owned telecommunications company, with Movistar Colombia, the acquisition of the Biomax in Colombia, the third largest gasoline distribution network in Colombia by Grupo Terra, the sale of Tablemac in Colombia to Duratex, part of the Itausa, a Brasilian conglomerate, the acquisition of Arseg, Pass and Classi by Capital Safety Group, now a portfolio company of KKR.
Prior to joining APOYO Finanzas Corporativas, Arturo worked in Ágora Corp in Colombia, an investment banking boutique in Colombia, where he worked in M&A transactions for companies in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, also in the Corporate & Investment Banking division of Mediobanca SpA, the Italian investment bank in Frankfurt and in DEG Invest where worked in Project Finance and portfolio investments in Latin America.
Arturo holds a bachelors degree in Business Economics from the University of Witten-Herdecke in Germany.
