Baumit has sold its brand rights for Russia, Belarus, Latvia and Lithuania to Wopfinger Baustoffe GmbH

Wietersdorfer Industrie Beteiligungs GmbH has sold the Baumit brand rights for Russia, Belarus, Latvia and Lithuania to Wopfinger Baustoffe GmbH. Financial details have not been disclosed.

Founded in 1988, Baumit is one of the most successful building materials brands in Europe and is also represented in China.

Wopfinger Baustoffe GmbH is the leading producer of construction materials in Austria. The company produces cement, lime, dry plasters, screeds and facade plasters.

Wietersdorfer Industrie Beteiligungs GmbH is a successful private company in the Austrian construction materials industry.

Oaklins' team in Austria acted as financial advisor to Wietersdorfer in the sale of its non-core assets in Austria and the CEE.
