Dorset Coastal Cottages has been acquired by The Travel Chapter

The private shareholders of Dorset Coastal Cottages have sold the company to The Travel Chapter.

From its origins as a small family-run business and based near Lulworth Cove, Dorset Coastal Cottages has grown into the leading holiday cottage agency focused exclusively on the Dorset coastline.

The Travel Chapter, based in Bideford in north Devon, is the market leader for self-catering holidays, providing a wide choice of high quality, personally inspected properties across the UK and overseas. It markets over 5,000 properties across the UK through its flagship website holidaycottages.co.uk and other domains.

Oaklins Smith & Williamson, based in the UK, advised the shareholders of Dorset Coastal Cottages on the disposal.

“Finding the right home for our family business was crucial and the support from the Oaklins Smith & Williamson team at every stage of the process was outstanding. I am delighted we brought them on board and I cannot recommend them more highly. They made the very difficult process of selling our family business a much easier one with all of their advice and assistance.”
