Presight Solutions has been acquired by Banyan Software
Banyan Software, a leading acquiror and operator of mission-critical software businesses, has entered Norway with the acquisition of Presight Solutions AS, a SaaS company delivering advanced software for safety, operational integrity and regulatory compliance in high-risk industries. The transaction marks a new chapter for Presight, strengthening its ability to scale while preserving the product focus, sector expertise and customer trust built since its founding in 2003.
Headquartered in Stavanger, Norway, Presight provides cloud-based software for safety, operational risk and compliance management in high-risk industrial sectors. Designed to support daily operational oversight, Presight’s platform helps organizations manage operational integrity with structure and transparency, while embedded within the workflows of customers across critical industrial environments. Over more than two decades, Presight has evolved from solving practical, on-the-ground safety and compliance challenges into a specialized software platform integrated in customers’ daily operations. Today, Presight supports a growing international customer base and is trusted by companies including Equinor, Stena Drilling, Vår Energi and Akofs.
“Presight was built to solve real, operational problems for teams working in high-risk environments. As we looked for a long-term partner, Banyan stood out for their deep experience with mission-critical software and their thoughtful, long-term approach to growth. Just as important, they share our commitment to our people, our customers and the integrity of the product we’ve built. That alignment gives us strong confidence in the next chapter for Presight,” said Petter Holst-Johnsen, CEO of Presight.
Banyan Software acquires, builds and grows software businesses that are critical to the customers they serve. Founded in 2016, the company follows a buy-and-hold-for-life strategy and provides permanent capital to support sustainable growth while preserving founders’ legacies. Banyan operates globally and partners with management teams to maintain operational independence and continuity.
Julie Koegenboeg, head of Northern Europe at Banyan Software, said: “What impressed us about Presight is the combination of deep industry understanding and a disciplined approach to product development. We are excited to support Petter and the whole Presight team as they continue to lead the business. With their expertise and our support, Presight is well positioned to grow into new markets while staying grounded in the values that have shaped its success.”
Oaklins’ team in Norway acted as the financial advisor to Presight, providing strategic advice and managing the transaction process from initial preparation through to successful completion.
