Grupo União has been acquired by Fortbras Group

The shareholders of Grupo União have sold the company to Fortbras Group for US$115 million.

Founded in 1969, Grupo União is one the main aftermarket auto parts chain in Brazil, with 39 stores in five estates.

Fortbras Group is a leading distributor of aftermarket auto parts in Brazil. Founded in 1992, the company distributes auto parts to more than 25,000 customers, including repair shops, auto parts stores and car fleet owners. It also sells electrical and mechanical products for light vehicles, heavy vehicles and motorcycles, serving customers from 18 locations across 17 Brazilian cities. Fortbras Group is backed by Advent International since 2016.
