Nicolás is a senior associate at LarrainVial, Oaklins’ member firm in Chile, and has been involved in several M&A transactions, debt issues and valuations. He has participated in M&A transactions, project finance, public tenders, debt issuance, debt restructuring, syndicated bank loans and valuations. He has expertise in infrastructure and energy project finance, construction & engineering services, real estate and financial services. Notable deals he has advised on include the acquisition of Alto Maipo’s project finance debt by local investors (US$135 million); Abertis (Adia) in the optimization of the financing structure of Vías Chile’s concession group; the consortium formed by Iridium (ACS) and Salini Impregilo in the bidding process of Américo Vespucio Oriente II; the acquisition of Construmart by a private fund; being the independent evaluator for the board of Enel Chile in its corporate reorganization; Iridium (ACS) on the sale of 51% of the concessionaire company Ruta del Canal S.A. (US$142 million); Disal Group’s refinancing process; Iridium (ACS) on the refinancing process of Ruta del Canal S.A; and the acquisition of BCI Seguros by Mutua Madrileña (US$220 million).
Nicolás joined the firm in 2015. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Economics from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and a master's in finance from the same university.
