Guillaume is a managing partner at Oaklins E. Canada and is based in Toronto. He has more than 20 years of experience in advising management teams, boards and shareholders on M&A transactions, financing, performance assessment and governance. He has done work for a variety of clients, including large public issuers, family-owned companies, startups, private equity firms and pension funds in Canada, the USA, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. His key areas of expertise are in business support services, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing and TMT. Recent transactions he has advised on include the sale of Skytec Rentals Inc., an aerial equipment rental firm, to Simplex; the sale of Hangingstone Ventures Inc., a hydrovac service provider, to Infracon Construction; the sale of Brookdale Treeland Nurseries Ltd., a grower and supplier of live garden plants and decorative holiday greenery, to Rouge River Capital; the sale of CyberImpact, a digital marketing solution provider, to Oliva Capital; the investment in Location GM, a heavy equipment rental firm, by Stephenson’s Rental Services; the sale of R&D Recycling, a materials recovery facility operator specialized in solid waste collection and processing, to GFL Environmental; the sale of CAD Railway Industries, the largest Canadian locomotive and freight/passenger car refurbishing company, to Sojitz; the investment by EDC in APG Neuros, a manufacturer and distributor of high-speed turbo blowers and aeration systems; and the sale of ImportFab, a manufacturer of pharmaceuticals, natural health and cosmetic products, to Labomar.
Guillaume has had several senior roles prior to joining Oaklins E. Canada, including more recently as a principal with Hugessen Consulting in Toronto. Before joining Hugessen, Guillaume was an investment banker at Citigroup in the UK and a corporate lawyer in Montreal. He also co-founded and managed Gestion Agriterra, a farmland investment corporation specialized in the acquisition, management and rental of farmland throughout Canada. Guillaume has an LLB from Sherbrooke University and completed an MBA at INSEAD in Singapore and France.
