Laurens is a senior associate at Oaklins KBC Securities in Belgium. He has experience in public and private M&A and ECM across a broad range of industries. Recent notable M&A transactions he has advised on include the sale of a majority stake in Den Berk Délice to Egeria (food & agriculture), the takeover bid on Euronav by CMB (shipping), the takeover bid on Vastned Retail by Vastned Belgium (real estate), the takeover bid of Tessenderlo on Picanol (machinery), the sale of Tax Consult to Moore Belgium (consulting) and the sale of iDalko’s L&C activities to Avisi (TMT).

Laurens joined the corporate finance department in 2022. Previously, he was a consultant in EY’s strategy and transactions department, and completed internships at M&A boutiques. Laurens has a master’s in applied economics from the Catholic University of Leuven (KUL) and a master’s in financial management from Vlerick Business School.
