Jan is a managing partner at Oaklins Germany and leads its technology team. He also serves on Oaklins International’s executive committee. With more than 20 years of M&A experience, he specializes in the TMT (software and services), business support services and financial services sectors. He is an expert in evaluating rapidly scalable business models, and guides owners of medium-sized companies, corporations, and financial and venture capital investors as well as founders of rapidly growing startups in all matters related to M&A and corporate finance services. Notable transactions he has advised on include the sale of Hidoc Technologies (Cara Care), a DiGA provider, to Mahana Therapeutics Inc.; the sale of Seniovo GmbH, a provider of digital solutions for barrier-free bathroom conversions, to Hornbach Baumarkt AG; the sale of Forliance GmbH, a project developer of climate protection projects, to Macquarie Asset Management; the acquisition of Optano, a leading provider of AI-based operational solutions, by A.T. Kearney; and the sale of IT-Seal GmbH, a provider of cybersecurity solutions, to Hornetsecurity GmbH.

After working as a researcher and analyst, Jan joined Oaklins Germany in 2005. He studied business administration at the University of Hamburg.
