Hoststar wurde von der schwedischen Miss Group gekauft
Januar 2022 — Im Rahmen der Nachfolgeregelung übernimmt die schwedische Miss Group die Multimedia Networks AG, welche unter dem Namen Hoststar am Markt auftritt.
Hoststar, mit Hauptsitz in Fraubrunnen im Kanton Bern, wurde 1996 als Einzelfirma von Claude Hofer gegründet. Mittlerweile beschäftigt das Unternehmen etwa 30 Mitarbeitende und gehört zu den grössten Schweizer Webhosting-Anbietern. Die Hauptmärkte sind vorwiegend die Schweiz und Österreich. Rund 80 ’000 Kunden setzen auf die Lösungen von Hoststar.
Die 2014 gegründete Miss Group ist eine internationale Webhosting-Gruppe, welche seit ihrer Gründung nicht zuletzt dank internationaler Zukäufe stark gewachsen ist. Zum Dienstleistungsangebot der Miss Group gehören Webhosting, die Registrierung und Verwaltung von Domains, VPS, Server Hosting, Website Building, SSL-Zertifikate, Suchmaschinenoptimierung und Internet-Sicherheit. Die Miss Group ist in ihren Kernmärkten gut verankert und bedient über 200'000 Hosting-Kunden. Die Präsenz der Miss Group in der Schweiz ist ein wichtiger Teil ihrer internationalen Wachstumsstrategie. Das Unternehmen gehört mehrheitlich dem Finanzinvestor Perwyn.
