Compañía Sudamericana de Vapores has raised funds

Compañía Sudamericana de Vapores S.A.(CSAV) has completed a capital increase to become the largest single shareholder in Hapag-Lloyd AG.

Founded in 1872, CSAV is the main shipping company in Chile. It is exclusively focused on the container shipping business and through its interest in the German shipping company Hapag-Lloyd, is now he world’s fifth-largest shipping line in terms of transport capacity.

Oaklins’ team in Chile acted as financial co-advisor in this transaction.
