Bas is a partner and co-founder of Oaklins Debt Advisory, part of Oaklins Netherlands. With more than 25 years’ experience in arranging, structuring and negotiating debt packages, he co-leads Oaklins’ debt advisory team. Notable transactions include raising the acquisition finance for a consortium consisting of Gilde Buy Out Partners, Gilde Healthcare Partners and Quadrum Capital to support their joint acquisition of ACE Pharmaceuticals; arranging the refinancing for HC Partners to facilitate the acquisition of additional dental practices to form a leading group in the dental market in the Netherlands; and supporting several high-net-worth individuals with dividend recapitalizations, such as Intergrin.

Previously, Bas worked for Fortis Bank, was involved in setting up the Dutch branch of the Bank of Scotland and co-headed Landsbanki Islands’ branch in the Netherlands, where he gained extensive experience in corporate banking, structured finance, real estate lending and leveraged finance.
