IP Consult GmbH has been acquired by NIRAS Gruppen A/S

The private shareholders of IP Consult GmbH have sold their majority shareholding of the company to NIRAS Gruppen A/S for an undisclosed consideration.

IP Consult is a dynamic, international German-based consulting company which provides sustainable designs for development. The company was founded in 1979 as an independent consulting firm and works in cooperation with governments, private companies, civil societies and donor agencies. The most important ones are bilateral and multilateral development agencies. IP Consult has long term customer relations with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ), ministers of the federal state of Baden-Württemberg, KfW Development Bank and the European Commission. It assists these institutions in the design and implementation of locally owned and deliverable development strategies. As a result of this transaction, IP Consult will acquire a wider professional scope and will be part of NIRAS Group's international offices' network.

NIRAS is a multi-disciplinary consulting engineering and planning company established in Denmark in 1956. NIRAS' activities are organized into 20 business units such as construction and infrastructure, public utilities, environmental and natural resources, climate change and energy, planning, and the business unit dealing with development consulting/development aid and NIRAS International Consulting (NIC).
