Maria Beroendecentrum AB has been acquired by Capio AB
July 2010 — Maria Beroendecentrum AB, healthcare provider operating a drying-out clinic, has been acquired by Capio AB. Financial details have not been disclosed.
Capio has won the procurement to operate addiction treatment care within the county council of Stockholm for the next five years. After this acquisition, the new company will have almost 200 employees.
“We are very happy with the notification from the city council of Stockholm (SLL) implying that we will operate and manage the important addiction treatment program within the region of Stockholm. With locally integrated care centers within close reach of the patients, we will do our best to efficiently help and cure patients with drug and addiction habits,” said Åke Strandberg, Business Area Manager of Specialist Clinics Operations in Sweden.
